This was our second winter trip to Boulder, Utah. We slept at the Boulder Mountain Lodge and enjoyed the immediate vicinity during the days. The area includes: Canyons of the Escalante, Calf Creek Canyon, Long Canyon, and many smaller slots and pockets. Lower Calf Creek Falls is a favorite day hike. It is about 6 miles for the full hike and the reward is a fantastic 126 foot high waterfall at the end of a box canyon. I enjoy sight fishing for the plentiful trout in this aquifer fed stream.
